Sock-knitting machines are used to make socks. Knitters were first believed to have begun their craft in the first few centuries AD.
It can be used to create many types of fabric, from framed knitting artwork to sweaters, afghan quilts, throws, blankets, mittens, or even bedroom slippers. When it's time to move on to a more difficult stitch, try out the party wrap pattern. The knitting community, as a whole, is a warm, nurturing place.
The single yarns may be dyed separately before plying, or afterwards to give the yarn a uniform look. This is my version of instructions for the two basic knitting stitches but I have found that it is hard to use a few written instructions. You can also knit mittens, scarves using the sock-knitting machine.
Not only will this provide a nice social outlet, but your new knitting friends may also be able to help you locate and use new knitting patterns and new ideas for knitting projects. It doesn't all happen at once.
