knit a jacket and pattern

Knitting is the oldest craft among all the crafts. Let's start with some basic patterns.

Although the new stitch is itself unsecured ("active"), it secures the stitch(es) suspended from it. If you are beginner then start with a no pattern, this means just start by knitting with a combination of just two basic stitches, knit and purl. Different combinations of knit and purl stitches, along with more advanced techniques, generate fabrics of considerably variable consistency, from gauzy to very dense, from highly stretchy to relatively stiff, from flat to tightly curled, and so on.

In knitting you are often counting your stitches and focusing on nothing more than the stitches being created and the count itself. But mistakes can also be a good thing. However, these numbers can differ from one country to another.

Good luck with your knitting. These few basic knitting instructions are the foundation of any project you will ever knit.
